According to a recent research of the experience of the BBC "Trust Me, I'm Doctor" program the traditional cooking as mentioned above will leave the Arsenic in rice cooked.
Andy Meharg, a professor of biology at Queens University Belfast in Belfast, Ireland, has experimented with cooking in three ways to find the effects of arsenic levels.
Professor Meharg tested a common cooking technique and found that this method left most arsenic. After that, the professor tried another method, using up to five times the recommended amount of water, which could reduce arsenic nearly 50 percent. In the last experiment, the professor tested the rice overnigh, with up to 80% reduction of arsenic.
